My evaluation and experience
One morning, I set off with my Fjällräven Singi Stubben Backpack in the local forests.
What was special about this day? I wanted to do the ultimate test: How does the backpack perform when I really challenge it?
So I packed everything necessary. And the Singi Stubben offered plenty of space with its 27 liters - no problem at all.
Not to forget the integrated seat pad (aluminum frame inside), which is more than just a convenience. It became the savior of my tired legs when I decided to take a break after hours of hiking.
What proved to be particularly valuable? I always had my hands free. Additional equipment like my camera and a water bottle can easily be attached to the backpack and are always within reach when you need them.
This backpack and I have experienced a lot since then. From hours of hiking through dense undergrowth to sudden rain showers that unexpectedly hit us. The 2.1 kg backpack held up without my supplies or spare clothes getting wet.
Who is the Singi Stubben made for?
Clearly for people who do not just see nature as a backdrop, but as part of their lives. Hikers, bushcrafters, survivalists, anglers, hunters, and anyone looking for a sustainable and robust carry solution.
It is less suitable for those looking for a simple city backpack. The Singi Stubben simply plays in a different league here.
I like that
- Durable material (G-1000 HeavyDuty Eco S) keeps what it promises
- Integrated seat cushion, a true blessing
- Practical mounting options for additional equipment
- Waterproof - keeps the belongings dry
I do not like
- Without the Singi Side Pockets it maybe lacks some storage space
- Unfortunately no hip belt for more relief
