My evaluation and experience
When suddenly dark clouds covered the sky, I pulled out the Unigear tarp from my backpack. Quickly my children and I built a shelter with it.
This tarp has saved me several times in action, whether in the forest as an improvised tent, at the beach as sun protection, or as protection against unexpected rain during outdoor adventures.
It has never let me down and proves its versatility and sturdiness on every occasion. A faithful companion that I wouldn't want to miss anymore.
The design of the tarp is well-thought-out. Its army green outer side seamlessly blends into the surroundings, while the silver inner side illuminates the inside at night with a small flashlight.
Eight eyelets offer various fastening options, perfect for setting up an improvised tent. However, there could be more, for example, I miss a guyline loop in the middle.
The tarp turns out to be very robust, a testament to its quality that withstands many outdoor adventures without being affected by strong wind. However, the tarp shouldn't get any sparks; otherwise holes will immediately appear.
The weight (1.29 kg for the 300 x 400 cm variant) is okay and makes it an ideal companion, easy to transport and yet so useful. The fact is: there are lighter models - but for the price, there are few.
The price is impeccable considering the quality and versatility of the product. It offers an excellent price-performance ratio.
Whether as sun protection at a picnic, as an emergency shelter in the forest, or as protection while Bushcrafting - the Unigear tarpaulin is a great piece of equipment for any outdoor adventure.

- More guy-out loops (8 present) would be nice, e.g., in the middle of the tarp
