My evaluation and experience

The Streamlight The Siege lantern (540-Lumen) has often been my loyal companion on my adventures in the forest. Whether hiking, camping, or during my courses as a wilderness mentor - I can rely on this robust and reliable lantern.

Thanks to its sturdy construction made of thick, rubberized plastic, the lantern has survived many falls unscathed. Even rain and splashing water cannot harm it, as according to the manufacturer, it is waterproof up to 1 meter. So even in bad weather, I have nothing to worry about.

With its 340 lumens, the lantern provides pleasantly bright light and illuminates my small camp. The brightness can be adjusted to three levels. I also find the red light particularly useful, which preserves night vision and even offers an SOS function. So I always feel safe in the forest at night.

Thanks to its compact dimensions of 10.2 x 10.2 x 18.4 cm and a relatively low weight of only 400 g including the three D batteries, the lantern fits in any backpack.

With a burn time of up to 295 hours, I don't have to worry about dead batteries even on longer trips.

The only thing I find unfortunate is that it doesn't have a built-in battery. You need 3x Type D batteries (I use these: EBL D battery 10000 mAh)

The Streamlight impresses me - a great product for all those who spend a lot of time outdoors and need a reliable source of light.
