My evaluation and experience
I have been a passionate Bushcrafter for years and spend a lot of time outdoors in nature. A reliable knife is essential for me. Some time ago, I came across the Morakniv Spark and was immediately convinced of its qualities (I already like Morakniv knives anyway).
During my wanderings through the forest, the Morakniv Companion Spark was regularly by my side. The blade made of stainless Swedish steel is incredibly sharp and retains its sharpness for a long time. With a blade length of 10.3 cm, the knife is perfect for carving, preparing food, or other cutting work in the forest.
I particularly find the integrated fire steel in the handle practical. With the ferrocerium rod on the top of the blade, a fire can be quickly and easily ignited (Here's my guide).
The handle fits comfortably in the hand and provides a secure grip, even when wet or dirty. Weighing just under 130 grams in total, the Morakniv Companion Spark is a lightweight companion that you hardly notice.
The included polymer sheath protects the blade and can be flexibly attached to the backpack or belt with the belt clip. This way, the knife is always within reach. A reflective nylon cord on the fire starter also makes it easier to find in the dark.
In my opinion, the Morakniv Companion Spark is a great tool for any bushcrafter, survivalist, or outdoor enthusiast. However, the Morakniv Companion Spark is less suitable for people who only occasionally go into nature and do not have high demands on their knife.
