On my excursions through the forests, the KANSBOL is a loyal companion. The blade made of stainless Sandvik steel with Scandinavian grind can be easily sharpened and is also suitable for finer carving work. The handle made of non-slip plastic fits securely in the hand, even when it gets wet.
Especially practical is the angular back of the blade, which serves as a scraping surface for a fire steel. This way I can quickly and easily start a fire on the go to warm up or cook something.
The included plastic knife sheath protects the blade and thanks to the removable holder with integrated fire starter and diamond sharpener, I have everything I need ready at hand.
With a blade length of just under 11 centimeters and a total weight of only 162 g, the KANSBOL is a compact and lightweight companion that should not be missing in any backpack. However, the KANSBOL is not a knife for continuous heavy work like chopping branches or splitting wood. In this case, it is better to opt for a larger, heavier survival knife (like the Peltonen M95 Ranger) or an axe.
