Review and rating of the product
Hi, I'm Martin. Through my experience of living in the wilderness and doing nature crafts, I know how important the right equipment is. I want to help you to be well equipped for your adventures. More about me on my "About me" page.
Today, let's take a closer look at the product "LifeStraw Go 2 water bottle 22 oz (0.65 L) with water filter".
My LifeStraw Go water bottle has accompanied me in many situations. Whether hiking in the Thuringian forests or camping in the Brandenburg woods with my children, this bottle is often part of my outdoor equipment.
With its two-stage filtering system, I can simply fill it up at a stream or pond and drink clean, safe water directly. (Of course, I also check the water well and if it seems suspicious, I boil it.)
I was particularly impressed by the capacity of the main filter. It can handle up to 1,000 liters, while the activated carbon filter can filter 100 liters of water.
The bottle holds 650 ml, which is perfect for me when I'm on the go and don't want to carry too much weight. It weighs just under 220 grams, making it pleasantly lightweight, ideal for attaching to a backpack with the integrated carabiner.
The LifeStraw Go is made of BPA-free material and is leak-proof. I never had to worry about my backpack getting wet from a leaky bottle. Its durability particularly convinced me when it fell several times without taking any damage.
What I don't like is that I have to suck quite hard on it. But unfortunately, this is the case with many such water filter bottles.
Nevertheless, this water bottle is a tip for hikers, campers, and survival enthusiasts. Those who travel frequently will also appreciate it, as it removes over 99.99% of bacteria in the water.
However, people who are sensitive to suction resistance or are looking for a more affordable alternative may want to consider other options. The LifeStraw Go requires a bit of effort when drinking, which may not be everyone's cup of tea.
The reviews for the LifeStraw Go 2-Stage Water Bottle are mostly positive (68% rated 5 out of 5 stars with 8,905 star ratings on Amazon). Customers praise the effective filtration of bacteria and protozoa, making it ideal for hiking and traveling.
The easy handling and light weight are particularly highlighted.
One user reports: "The bottle is practical for use on the go, on vacation, and while hiking. Here, the bottle can be filled up without hesitation in murky lakes, rivers, wells, or under the tap. And you drink clean water through the folding straw."
Many appreciate the opportunity to drink clean water anywhere and to protect the environment.
There is criticism regarding the durability. Some users had problems with durability after dropping the bottle and criticize the lack of a lid to protect the mouthpiece. Fortunately, I cannot report on this - quite the opposite.
Overall, positive evaluations outweigh the negative ones in the community.
As an outdoor enthusiast, I can highly recommend the LifeStraw Go 2-stage water bottle.
This water filter bottle supports you during hikes, camping, and travels. With its integrated 2-stage filter, it removes 99.9999% of bacteria and 99.9% of protozoan parasites from the water.
You won't have to worry about where your water comes from anymore. Simply dip it into the nearest river and you're good to go.
The bottle is lightweight, durable, and BPA-free. It saves money and is environmentally friendly, as you no longer need disposable plastic bottles. For me and many others in the community, it is a valuable piece of equipment on my outdoor adventures.
